Next Saturday, actor and performer Urias de Oliveira will bring life to the famous character of the Spanish writer Miguel de Cervantes. In “The Loneliness of Don Quixote”, we will see what would be the horseman’s fifth exit into the world, but without horse, guns and his wife Dulcineia.
The inspiration for the show emerged in La Coruña, Spain, during the artistic experiences of Urias with artists at the Museum of Contemporary Art, where the artist began research on the emblematic character.
The show proposes that the audience interact with the performer, being part of the staging. Respecting the security protocols for COVID-19, a select group was invited to watch and participate in the recording. “The Solitude of Don Quixote” will premiere on June 12, at 9pm, on the YouTube channel of the Vale Maranhão Cultural Center, as part of the Pátio Aberto program.
