Stop motion animations win a workshop and an unprecedented show at the CCVM

26 to 28 October 2022

From October 26th to 28th, the Vale Maranhão Cultural Center will be occupied by the animated cinema, with the project Ocupa Stop Motion. The technique that creates films based on sequential photos wins a workshop and a competitive exhibition with films by directors from various Brazilian states.

The workshop “Let’s stop motion?” proposes the introduction of the public to this universe, bringing a rescue of history, preparation of a script, creation of a scenario, teaching techniques and the production of short films at the end of the process. Registration is free and can be done in person on the first day of class at 14:00. 20 places will be offered.

The Ocupa Stop Motion Show, on the other hand, will show short films selected during a public call held in September at 19:00. There will be 18 productions competing by the vote of the technical jury and the popular jury. Get to know:

The Occupy Stop Motion project was created by filmmaker Jerry Quadros and approved in the Occupy CCVM Audiovisual notice, which selected proposals that considered cinema in perspective, related to other artistic languages.
