Itinerancia Bubuia exhibits works by 12 Pan-Amazonian artists at the CCVM

The 1st Amazon Biennial crossed the border of Pará and landed in São Luís.

We are playing with the exhibition Bubuia: Waters as a Source of Imaginations and Desires exhibits works by 12 artists from the Pan-Amazon, an excerpt from the original exhibition, held in August 2023. “For each location, we make a curatorial design, thinking about the spaces that will welcome us,” explains curator Vânia Leal.

The Bubuia Itinerance recalls a term used by caboclos and causes an awakening about Amazonian knowledge, with respect to the flow of rivers and life in the forest.
