Diogo Nazareth reinvents his album, Culture of Existence, for presentation at the Open Courtyard

30 January 2025 to 19:00

Culture of Existence is the first solo album by music producer Diogo Nazareth, composed based on his research in popular culture. Released in 2018, the album offers a dialogue between Afro-Brazilian touches and popular music, creating new aesthetics.

Diogo Nazareth invests in the fusion of African rhythmic languages with harmonies and melodies of European origin, a process that, like samba, opens up paths for new readings and musical possibilities.

“For the CCVM show, we recreated these songs to present a remixed version,” explains Diogo, “In addition to having three percussionists, we will also have DJ Lara Na Lua delivering the beats,” he concludes.

The show that relaunches Culture of Existence will feature the special participation of the reggae lady, Célia Sampaio, bringing to the stage of the Open Courtyard a celebration that connects past and future, faith and ancestry, the mystical and the real.
