To celebrate International Women’s Day, the Vale Maranhão Cultural Center welcomes singer Célia Sampaio to its Open Courtyard on Thursday, March 9, at 19:00, with the show “Ela”.
The performance will include songs from the latest CD released by the reggae lady, including the song “Ela”, a poem by Maria Firmina dos Reis that was set to music by Socorro Lira from Paraíba and given to Célia as a gift.
Accompanying Célia Sampaio are the musicians Adnon Soares on keyboard, João Paulo on bass, Kelson Ribeiras on drums, Rodrigo Tarta on guitar and Joquebede Bezerra on backing vocals. The production is by Gabriel Campelo.
Free entry. Vale Maranhão Cultural Center is located at Rua Direito, 149, Historic Center of São Luís.
