Conecta Psica promotes Amazonian encounters between Maranhão and Pará

25 October 2024

Approved in the Public Notice Ocupa CCVM – Amazônia em Foco 2024, the Conecta Psica project will promote meetings between the creative network that celebrates the cultures of Maranhão and Pará. The CCVM will hold a full day focused on the event’s programming, which includes the open conversation Amazon Encounters, an Open Stage that will serve as a showcase for artists from Maranhão, and the closing concert with the singer from Pará, Flor de Mururé.

Amazonian Encounters
The open conversation Amazonian Encounters will promote dialogues on musical curatorship, creative economy, and political horizons for funding festivals in Brazil, with the presence of: Jasmine Giovannini (Festival Paredão – BR/RJ), Jeft Dias (Psica Festival BR/PA) and mediated by Carolina Maria dos Santos (Foz em Rede BR/MA).

Open Stage
The Psica Festival wants to discover the talents of Maranhão music and form a collaborative network between Maranhão and Pará. As part of the Conecta Psica program, we will hold an Open Stage here at the CCVM with performances of up to 5 minutes with Célia Sampaio, Gabriella Leão, Grupo 98 Goats, Pantera Black and Paulão. Thus, Psica gets closer to the musical talents of Maranhão, forming a network of contacts between Maranhão and Pará.

Flor de Mururé
The artist Flor de Mururé is closing the activities of Conecta Psica, with the show that includes the album CROA, the first of his career.

Flor de Mururé is a musician, singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and a transgender Amazonian band player. He was born in Belém/PA and was raised in the neighborhoods of Cremação and Condor.
