Uncomplicating Modeling Course will be released in person in January
17 to 28 January 2023
Teaching modeling in an organic way, based on the body of each individual, resulting in pieces full of personality is one of the main objectives of the course Uncomplicating Modeling. The partnership between CCVM and renowned designer Rita Comparato in 2021 will now have its in-person version.
Divided into nine modules — materials, measurements, base, lace, sleeve, collar, top, skirt and pants — the course will be held from January 17 to 28 — except Sunday and Monday — from 14:00 to 18:00, and students will learn to improve creativity, logical thinking, and understanding the dimensions of the human body, making conventional modeling more practical and objective.
With an extensive curriculum, Rita helped define Brazilian fashion in the early 2000s, along with fellow designer Dudu Bertholini. The brand Neon, created by the duo, won the world and was present on international TV shows, catwalks and showcases, and stages of famous singers. Today, Rita is dedicated to her brand Irrita, which mixes impeccable technique with irreverence and creativity, in a business that strives for conscious production and consumption, creating exclusive pieces.
The course will be offered on an ongoing basis, with dependent classes, so prior registration will be required and there will be no in-person enrollment on the first day of class. To receive a certificate, the student must complete at least 75% of the classes. In all, 20 places will be offered.
