Instituto Cultural Vale launches training program in Contemporary Arts Management

The Instituto Cultural Vale launches the Contemporary Management of the Arts program, aimed at training professionals in the performing arts and music. With a faculty formed by renowned names in the sector, coming from different parts of the country, to give students a broader look at the Brazilian cultural scene, the course will be entirely online. Lives , video classes and handouts can be accessed for free on the website of Instituto Cultural Vale –  instituteculturalvale.org . No registration required. Structured from three modules, the didactic program focuses on the main needs of the creative production chain today and specific approaches to the areas in which it is centered. The themes of the training modules are: Planning for Artists – dodging uncertainty; Digital Atmosphere – the new challenges; Sustainability and Culture – challenging approaches . Fundamental contents for the professionalization and critical training of artists, agents, managers and cultural producers will also be addressed. The program aims to expand the conceptual and technical repertoire of cultural professionals to assist in their autonomous performance in the labor market. For this, it has 9 handouts for each of the video classes. All material will be available as a collection on the ICV website. Also on the program's agenda are three lives , one for each module, to clarify doubts and to exchange information about the content between students and teachers. Participation of important professionals in their areas of expertise: Glória Caputo, creator of the Vale Música Belém project; Chico Pelúcio, actor, director, cultural manager, creator and general director of Centro Cultural Galpão Cine Horto; Deborah Colker, Brazilian dancer and choreographer at the head of the dance company that bears her name. The opening will be made by Flavia Constant, Vale's executive manager for Social, Cultural, Research and Knowledge Investment. The mediation will be conducted by journalist Adelaide Oliveira.
