Created by Bruno Ferreira and Jane Maciel, the performance Loopoetics refers to a pun on the word loop. Guitar loops form a sound texture that leads to modulation through repetition. This hypnotic effect will be complemented by poems read, vocalizations, percussive circularities and unusual sounds.
Ritornelo, in turn, refers to a philosophical concept that refers to territorialization processes that demand subjective and expressive movements. In the context of the book and the performance, this represents the idea of a personal and subjective movement to explore and understand a territory, whether physical or emotional.
Jane, the author and creator of the project, explains that the presentation will take the audience through three moments of this journey: searching for a territory, starting from that territory, and then returning to it, in a different way.
The event will also feature Emanuel Balata and Dati Bezerra to present this mix of poetry and sounds, in an unprecedented montage. The artists will use a series of instruments, such as guitar, bells, maracas, flutes, drums, and berimbau.
