Vila Maria's quilombola cashiers present Cash Ball in the Open Courtyard

The Caixa Ball is a performance where cashiers make salvos, played in praise of the Divine Holy Spirit, ending with the famous Carimbó das Caixeiras.

The group Caixeiras Quilombola da Vila Maria is made up of 30 women from the Leite and Soares families, in the community located in Pindaré Mirim (MA), which has been active for over 40 years.
