The rocks will roll! DJ Jorge Black presents classic Jamaican reggae in the Open Patio

Reggae will take over the Open Patio this week! DJ Jorge Black will present Jamaican Classics, a collection of hits from the 70s, 80s and 90s, played on vinyls from his collection that began in 1976. While performing songs by names such as Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Jimmy Cliff, Max Romeo, among others, the DJ will comment on the historical and cultural contexts that influenced the compositions.

DJ Jorge Black began his musical career in 1982. In the 90s, he began his career as a communicator on community radio stations, presenting programs specializing in reggae culture. For four years he led the program Reggae Power on Rádio Cidade FM, where he also directed and presented the program Reggae Night from 2007 to 2014. He currently hosts the program Reggae Roots on Nova FM alongside the singer, broadcaster and vocalist of the Tribe of Jah, Fauzy Beydoun.
