Show As Caixeiras de Maria Caixeira, from Pindaré-Mirim - May 23, at Pátio Aberto 2019

Hail, the Divine and the cashiers! The CCVM is pleased to host next Thursday (23), at 7 pm, the show As Caixeiras de Maria Caixeira , with the Associação Feminina Cultural Democrática Divindade do Vale do Pindaré-Mirim . The group, created by Maria Caixeira in 1991, brings together 30 black women who sing, dance and play boxes praising the Holy Spirit. The show will present a panorama of the Festejo do Divino de Pindaré-Mirim, an old tradition that takes place in November, bringing together the touch of the boxes, the litanies of praise and the stone, a local dance in a contagious rhythm. Admission is free.
