São Simão's Bumba Meu Boi opens the CCVM month of June

Here at the CCVM we kick off the month most awaited by the people of Maranhão, receiving, this Thursday (5), the oldest and most traditional orchestra accent ox, Bumba Meu Boi de São Simão.

With 66 years of tradition and directly from Rosario, the group presents the performance As Toadas de Pique e o Chorado, which will feature a vibrant selection of songs that mix the fast rhythm of the pique plays with the striking emotion of crying, unique characteristics of the orchestra accent.

Ribbon cowboys and champions enter the scene, giving a true show of choreography and interaction with the ox. This evening promises to be a real warm-up for the marathon of June festivities that engulf the state throughout the month of June!
