Bumba Meu Boi Unidos de Coqueiro, with a low accent, is the attraction of São João do CCVM this Wednesday (19). The game was founded in 2002 by Mestre Manelão, a great exponent of popular culture in Maranhão, a native of Cajapió and a devotee of São João, São Pedro and São Benedito.
The group is characterised by its medium-tempo cadence, given by the polyrhythmia of its tambourines, matracas, maracás, rattles and jaguar drums, which allow us to hear a vibrant and unique sound. It’s worth coming to see!
