Reflections on everyday poetry inspire the Strangely Common show

13 January 2024 to 19:00

This week’s Open Courtyard hosts, on Saturday (13), the show “Strangely Common”, by Pulsar Cia de Dança.
Under the direction of Abelardo Telles and choreography by João Piray from São Paulo, the show elicits existential reflections on how to give meaning to the ordinary in everyday poetry. Understanding that the ordinary becomes strangely common to our eyes and it takes time, patience and empathy to look with the eyes of others, to feel the truth of the other on the skin, so that it becomes something naturally ours too.

With over 25 years in business, Pulsar Cia. de Dança was founded by renowned professionals from Maranhão, influenced by various artistic languages, driven by the desire to dance and to make dance a profession. More than 60 professional dancers and ballerinas have joined the Pulsar cast, responsible for the training and improvement of more than 10,000 students. Based on research and studies, it uses modern and contemporary language to show dance as an important means of communication.
