Pátio Aberto presents the show Cinco Gerações do Choro Maranhense, with the group Cinco Gerações

24 October 2019

The Cinco Gerações group performs on Thursday (24), at 7 pm , for the Pátio Aberto project. The group was created by musician Osmar do Trombone, in 2010, as a continuation of the Furtado family tradition, started by his grandfather in Cajari, a city with musical tradition, mainly in choro. In 2012, the first CD, Cinco Gerações, was released. The trombone is one of the group's stylistic brands, inspired by Zé da Velha & Silvério Pontes, the duo who first incorporated the instrument into their choral formation. The repertoire will include original compositions by the Furtado family and other composers from Maranhão, such as Josias Sobrinho, Joãozinho Ribeiro, Antônio Vieira, among others, performed by the project's creators, Osmar do Trombone and Osmarzinho (saxophone), accompanied by José Lázaro (tambourine), João Morales (guitar) and Rodrigo Olivárez (acoustic bass). Unmissable!
