The show Batuque na Cozinha , with the Terreiro de Oyó group, takes place this Thursday (12/05), at 7 pm , by the Pátio Aberto project. Created in 2015, focused on the Brazilian samba, the group mixes the rhythmic cells of the samba from Maranhão, from blocks such as Fuzileiros da Fuzarca; batuques from São Paulo samba schools, such as Vai Vai and Rosas de Ouro; and root sambas. Throughout his career, he won the 1st University Song Festival at UFMA, opened the show As Ayabás and was featured on TVC Rio de Janeiro's TV program Forró do K. The show features original songs, strongly inspired by the sambas of the masters Ismael Silva and Paulo Benjamin and by the melodic arrangements that emerged from the bambas' meetings at Tia Ciata's house, in Rio de Janeiro. The group pays tribute to João da Baiana, composer of the song that gives the title to the show, which will also transit through the rhythms of Maranhão's culture and the sounds of the terreiros, in addition to showing a little of the first CD, Filho da Noite, still coming out of oven. The group is made up of Oswaldo Abreu, Luciana Pinheiro, Saci Telelêo, Jorge Reis, Valdico Monteiro, Jadson Foca, Victor Eduardo and Kadu Galvão. During samba week, Pátio Aberto hosts a great roda! Come to batucada! Free entrance.
