The group Capoeira Zambi , from the city of Bacabal, presents on the next 14th, at 7 pm , for the Pátio Aberto 2019 project, the show Acordes do Arame ao Som da Cabaça . The berimbau – which commands the capoeira circle, dictating its rhythm and the style of the game – is the main character of the show, whose repertoire ranges from capoeira songs to MPB classics , including Samango, by Mestre Canjiquinha; Miudinho , by Mestre Suassuna; toadas do boi, xotes and samba from Angola. The presentation will end with a capoeira roda. The group, with twelve members, is formed by vocalists, berimbau players (gunga, medium/viola, violin), percussionists (atabaque, agogô, tambourine) and flutist. The regency is the rhythm master Antônio Machado, Mestre Pinta. Capoeira Zambia operates in Bacabal and has already developed activities in the cities of Lago Verde, Conceição do Lago Açu and São Luís.
