Open Registration: Public Notice Pátio Aberto 2020

30 January to 29 February 2020

Registration is open for the Vale Maranhão Cultural Center (CCVM) for the fourth edition of the Pátio Aberto public notice . The public notice aims to promote the production of artists from Maranhão or residents of the state, in the areas of music, performing arts, audiovisual and popular culture. Proposals for shows, shows, mini events, etc. can be submitted. Through the notice, the CCVM offers diversified and free programming to the public, with events every Thursday, always at 7 pm. Pátio Aberto is already part of the city's cultural calendar and attracts both the local public and tourists. In its three editions, 108 proposals for shows, shows and workshops that took place in the CCVM patio were selected. The diversity of the selection stands out, covering all musical genres (including instrumental music), popular culture and performing arts. Artists and directors from 18 municipalities in Maranhão have already been awarded. Today, the public notice represents the biggest showcase of culture from Maranhão in São Luís. The participation of artists from the interior has been growing every year. In 2019 there were 32 shows and presentations of popular culture, two theater shows, five workshops, two audiovisual shows, an African fashion and dance event and a mini visual arts festival. The diversity of popular culture is highlighted in the Pátio Aberto, including manifestations often unknown to the Ludovician public, such as Reisado, Tamassaê, Mangaba, samba groups and many others who have already visited the Pátio. The cultural heritages, Bumba Meu Boi and Tambor de Crioula, always have a strong presence with a great variety of groups. For the director and curator of CCVM, Paula Porta, "the notice is equally important for the public – which is being formed by the diversity of the production to which they have access – as for the artists who find a qualified stage and, in addition to the fee, still they receive a video record and photos of their presentation, important promotional material, which helps to open other doors. Each year we expect that the information will go further so that we can have a greater participation from the interior, spreading opportunities”. Photos and video recording of concerts, in addition to being given to artists, are available on the Vale Maranhão Cultural Center's YouTube channel, reinforcing the dissemination of artists and constituting a database for curators of festivals and concert halls. Currently, 78 shows are available, every week new content is added. The recording of artists or groups on stage is an essential material, that's why CCVM invests in this production. From 40 to 44 projects will be selected that will make up the CCVM schedule from April 2020 to March 2021. This year the CCVM will launch a public call for proposals for workshops, so this activity is no longer provided for in the Pátio Aberto public notice. Applications are open from January 30th to February 29th, 2020. The regulation and the public notice form are available on the website ccv-ma.org.br. The proposal must be sent by e-mail to patioaberto@ccv-ma.org.br, by mail or delivered to the CCVM reception from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10 am to 7 pm, at Av. Henrique Leal, 149 Praia Grande, São Luís / MA. CEP: 6510-160. To learn more and follow the schedule, visit the website www.ccv-ma.org.br. Follow on Instagram and Facebook. Subscribe to Youtube.
