Open Patio hosts Associação das Caixeiras Francisca Paula this Thursday (27)

For over five decades, the tradition of the Divine Holy Spirit has been celebrated by the Quilombo Outeiro community with devotion, faith, and collective strength. Founded by Mestra Francisca de Paula Trindade, the group keeps alive this manifestation of popular culture in Maranhão, in the city of Monção, today under the leadership of 89-year-old Mestra Agostinha Marcelina S. da Hora.

Composed of cashiers and cashiers, the group brings together generations around the knowledge, songs, and touches that make the celebration of the Divine an important expression of Maranhão’s intangible cultural heritage.

This Thursday (27) will be an evening to celebrate faith, ancestry, and tradition that crosses generations.
