In the Black and Diversity Month at CCVM , the program Território Corpo: Between Brazil and Black Africa holds the workshop ARAS-ÌTÀNS: Corpos, Stories-Dances of Queens of Afro Blocks, with Vânia Oliveira (BA), on 09 and 10/12 , from 4:30 pm to 6 pm. Aras-ìtàns (bodies-stories) is an invitation to walk along the crossroads towards some of the ridges that nurture dances created by black women, presented in different contexts of Blocos Afro de Salvador. It will be an experience with dances, fruit of the artist's experiences, in dialogue with those of other women, considering the aesthetic, symbolic, historiographic and philosophical principles of the contexts that drive the creation of these expressions. Flowing into analysis and investigations of movements, creation of choreographic sequences, understanding of the compositional rhythmic aspects of/for the scene and the relationship between body-context-culture-identity-politics-society, the meeting aims to raise awareness about the power of transformation, resistance, (re)existence – cognitive and creative – that black women have in their various spaces and actions.
