Vale Maranhão Cultural Center – CCVM promotes, in the Month of Accessibility, the Online Poetry Laboratory in Libras and Portuguese with Slam do Corpo (SP). There will be four meetings conducted by the Slam team, on the 4th, 11th, 18th and 09/25, from 2 pm to 4 pm. The Laboratory proposes a creative and poetic investigation between Portuguese and Brazilian Sign Language. It is open to deaf and hearing poets, interpreter translators, Libra students, translation students and those interested in poetry, deaf culture and the meeting between worlds. Slam do Corpo is the 1st battle of poetry in Brazil with the participation of deaf and hearing poets. Pairs of poets create poetry in both languages simultaneously, what the group calls a kiss of tongues. The Slam team is formed by Cauê Gouveia, Cibele Lucena, Érika Mota, Joana Zatz Mussi, Leonardo Castilho and Rafael Moretti. Program: Lesson 1 – What is the Body Slam? Lesson 2 – What does the deaf poet need to know about the hearing poet and what does the hearing poet need to know about the deaf poet for a kiss with tongues to happen? Class 3 – Deaf Poetry.
