Ocupa CCVM Cinema presents the film O Bastão eo Rosário, by Ana Luísa Cosse (MG), on the CCVM YouTube channel, on January 29, at 7:00 pm. The documentary portrays the congado from Minas, represented by the Brotherhood of Mozambique, Nossa Senhora do Rosário, from the Alto dos Pinheiros neighborhood, in Belo Horizonte (MG). The sound of drums, gungas and patangomes announces that the Brotherhood is arriving for another Reinado Party. Amidst the chants sung by Captain Paulo and the movements of the dancers of the Aruanda Folklore Group, we get to know the story of this real character and his dealings with the Bat and the Rosário. The film received an honorable mention at the Cine Baru Festival, was nominated for best costume at the Tamoio Cine Festival and won the Arte Salva Prize (Secult-MG). Ana Luísa Cosse has a degree in Social Communication with an emphasis on Publicity and Propaganda (PUC-MG) and has been a member of the Aruanda Folklore Group for thirteen years.
