Closing the program of Ocupa CCVM Cinema, this Friday, April 9th, at 7 pm, will be shown Vermelho, Branco e Preto or Macurá Dilê, a video-performance by Cibele Mateus and master Martelo. The work investigates the figure of Mateus, an Afro-diasporic comic present in the game of Cavalo Marinho from Pernambuco, a black expression that highlights the forms of survival, cultural preservation and denunciation of power relations existing during Brazilian history; O Nego Fugido, an Afro-Brazilian apparition from Acupe/BA; and the narrative of Macurá Dilê, the time that began but has no end. The film provides the audience with an experience of integrating the languages of theater, dance, poetry and music into the stage, in performances performed at a distance, but which bring together master and disciple in black games of ancestry, diaspora and resistance. All movie programming, workshops, concerts etc. The Vale Maranhão Cultural Center is being carried out virtually through the institution's YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/centroculturalvalemaranhao).
