Mask Workshop, with Fábio Pinheiro - Open Enrollment

06 to 08 October 2020

Do you want to learn how to make masks with simple materials that you have at home? On 06, 07 and 08/10, from 4 pm to 6 pm, the CCVM holds the Mask Workshop, with the artist Fábio Pinheiro. The artist proposes to think about the representation of the elements of the face using simple modeling and finishing techniques. Material necessary for participation in the workshop: newspaper and/or bond paper, box cardboard, masking tape, white glue (500g), corn starch (200g), party balloons, scissors, knife, rubber bands, cords or ribbons. Suggested materials for finishing: colored papers, white latex paint, gouache paint, acrylic or other drawing and painting materials to color your mask. For those who cannot have the necessary material at the time of classes, get ready to write down the tips! Fábio Pinheiro is an artist. He started his experiments in animation theater and making masks and puppets, in Belém (PA), his hometown. He teaches animation and puppet building workshops, and participates in the assembly of theater and music shows as a set designer and prop. He is a founding member of the Companhia A Roda de Teatro de Puppets, in activity since 1998, presenting himself as an Animator and Animation Coordinator at festivals and workshops in Brazil and abroad.
