History of black music wins workshop aimed at artists and DJs

Registration is open for the Black Music workshop: its history and samples, which will take place from July 27-29, at 3:00pm, virtually. The workshop is aimed at artists and DJs who are interested in Brazilian and international black music. Perspectives will be worked through the decades, leading artists, collaborations, relevant records and samples.

Who will teach the classes are DJs Will and Vitonez. With over 21 years of career, DJ Will is also an MC and music producer. His greatest inspiration and encouragement comes from his family: his father KL Jay, DJ of Racionais Mc’s, and has already shared the stage with artists such as Marcelo D2, Criolo, Rael, among others. In 2006, he was chosen the best group DJ for the Hutúz Award. Around the world, she has performed in Portugal, France, Spain, Switzerland, Italy and has opened several shows in Brazil by international artists.

Will

DJ Vitonez has already been part of rap groups, passing through the underground scene, in addition to having had several experiences with international artists, sharing a stage with Little Brother, Kev Brown, Raekwon and several other respected names from the world’s Hip-Hop. In the US on tour with Rashid and discovering through Chile, he set foot on the road on tour for a series of shows, accompanying Luedji Luna and guests on a side project. Today, she performs on São Paulo night, and goes from Hip-Hop to R&B, from Groove to Soul Funk Acid, from Soulful House to regional music, without losing the roots of Black Music.
