We are happy to share the news that our film Caboclo de Pena – directed by Calu Zabel, Gabriel Gutierrez and Paula Porta – has been selected by SHORTS MEXICO (Mexico International Short Film Festival), the largest short film festival in Latin America, an important platform of international dissemination. Four thousand films were submitted from all over the world.
The film will be screened on the week of September 2-9 in Mexico City and will compete in the Iberoamerican Documentary category with Portuguese and Spanish productions.
To pay homage to the artists and to contribute so that the caboclo de pena and the fantastic universe of Bumba Meu Boi are known outside Maranhão are the objectives that drive this project and that are going to become effective.
