Corpo Territory: Between Brazil and Black Africa - Oficina Rastros e Macumbarias: ConversAções Negras na Cena, with Tieta Macau (MA) - Open Inscriptions

02 to 05 December 2020

In the Black and Diversity Month at CCVM, the program Território Corpo: Between Brazil and Black Africa holds the workshop Rastros e Macumbarias: Black ConversAções na Cena, with Tieta Macau (MA), from 02 to 05/12, from 10 am to 11 am . The artist presents alternatives and methodologies/procedures for creation (dances, theatrics, musicalities) in Afro-oriented perspectives, from a black body in diaspora. The proposal is to dance and talk about the experiences and trajectories of creations and observe the tracks of other black artists active in the contemporary scene in northeastern Brazil, in order to establish dialogues between the contemporary body and ancestral, popular and urban matrices. Tieta Macau is a transdisciplinary artist, creator of scenic macumbarias and other spirals. It operates in the constant relationship between memory and ancestry and the poetics of the trail. Researches afro-referenced creative processes, popular and aphrodiasporic poetics and dance writing. One of the creators of Coletivo DiBando , she works with several artists and groups from Maranhão and Ceará, such as Afrôs , Brecha Coletiva , LABORARTE and Viramundo . Those interested in participating should send their full name, telephone number and name of the workshop they wish to register to by e-mail: contato@ccv-ma.org.br. The workshop will be broadcast on the Zoom Platform. Free registration. 80 vacancies.
