Corpo Territory: Between Brazil and Black Africa - Oficina Nimba, with Mariama Camara (Guinea Conakri) - Open Enrollment

Registration is open for the Nimba workshop, with Mariama Camara , dancer and percussionist from Guinea-Conakri, from 25 to 28 this month, from 10 am to 12 pm. The workshop is part of the Corpo Territory: Between Brazil and Black Africa program , one of the activities of the Black Month and Diversity at CCVM. which runs until December 12th. The meeting promotes a direct connection with artistic expressions practiced on the African continent. The artist from Guinea-Conakri, West Africa, presents the ethnic dances of her country, using movements, songs and rhythms with ancestral meanings, handed down from generation to generation in the villages and ballets of Guinea. Mariama Camara acts as a dancer, percussionist, singer, choreographer and teacher. He has an internationally consolidated artistic career since 1999. He joined Les Ballets Africains (1999-2007) and performed alongside renowned artists such as Youssou N'dour, from Senegal; Youssouf Koumbassa, from Guinea-Conakri and Salif Keita, from Mali. He has lived in Brazil for eleven years.
