As part of the Black Month and Diversity program at CCVM, the program Território Corpo: Entre Brasil e África Negra holds the Afro-Brazilian Dance workshop, with Luís Deveza (BA), from 11/25 to 11/28, from 7 pm to 8 pm. The dancer, choreographer and teacher, Luís Deveza, brings to the Corpo Territory the knowledge and beauty of the dances of the orixás from various cultural manifestations and nations (Jeje, Nagô and Bantu) and the dances and samba of caboclos. Deveza graduated from the Bahia Dance School (Funceb). He began his career as a dancer at Grupo Bahia Afro e Lendas, in the neighborhood of Cajazeiras, community of Salvador (BA). For two years he joined the Balé Folclórico da Bahia and participated in other local groups, such as Cia de Dança Ceifa, Balé da Mata, among others. Ten years ago, he created Essay Cia de Dança. As an educator, he founded the Balé da Comunidade, and currently coordinates the Tabuleiro da Dança project.
