OCUPA CCVM 2019 - Centro Cultural Vale Maranhão launches the third edition of the notice for the occupation of its spaces - open enrollment

Enrollment is now open for the third edition of the Occupy CCVM notice, by the Vale Maranhão Cultural Center, from May 30th to July 27th. The Occupy Notice aims to select projects from all over Maranhão that are interested in being exhibited in the spaces of the Vale Maranhão Cultural Center in the second half of 2019. Projects in the areas of visual arts, scenic arts, audiovisual, music, popular culture can be entered. , literature, seminar/lecture and event/festival. The notice aims to support artists and filmmakers from Maranhão or who have been established in the state for at least three years. The projects submitted must be unpublished in São Luís. The list of selected projects will be published in August 2019 on the website www.ccv-ma.org.br, on CCVM's social networks and through the press. OCUPA CCVM The director and curator of CCVM emphasizes that “the notice is important because it allows us to know what is being thought by the artists from Maranhão and also for the joint work it provides. The dialogue that is established to arrive at the best montage of each project is always very rich and the constant presence of artists in our spaces for more than three months brings a special dynamic to our daily lives and opens up many possibilities for interaction with the public”. Launched in June 2017, Ocupa CCVM had nine selected projects in its first edition. There were 16 theater, music and dance performances, a group exhibition and four workshops. In the 2018 edition, projects with themes related to blackness were prioritized, due to the Pure Beauty Year, promoted by the CCVM, which celebrated the greatness of black people in culture.
