Mestre Honorio's São Gonçalo Ball opens 2025 program at the CCVM

The cult of Saint Gonçalo arrived in Brazil from Portugal during the colonial period, around the 18th century. There are different festivities scattered around Brazil and the promise is the main motivation of the devotees.
In the first Open Courtyard of 2025, we will host the São Gonçalo Ball by Mestre Honorio, a century-old game from the city of Viana (MA), for the opening of the CCVM’s January cultural program.
For those who have never seen it, the presentation will be a great opportunity to discover another of the various events still alive in Maranhão.
