Mar de Gente: Nova Orquestra plays O Rappa
We are delighted to welcome the New Orchestra to the Vale Maranhão Cultural Center for the first time!
Named the first 100% pop orchestra in the country, the New Orchestra was created in 2019 with the purpose of bringing classical and contemporary music closer together. With over 30 musicians, under the baton of conductor Ludhymila Bruzzi, the group presents creative and unprecedented repertoires, bringing the power of orchestral music to different audiences.
With the “Mar de Gente: Nova Orquestra Plays O Rappa” tour, the orchestra revisits great hits by O Rappa, one of the most influential and disruptive bands of the 1990s and 2000s. Known for its mix of rock, rap, reggae, funk and MPB, the group marked generations with songs that address the hardships, battles, and also the desires for transformation and happiness present in the country’s suburbs.
Please note: the gates open at 18:00 and admission will be on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to space capacity. Arrive on time, receive your bracelet and come live this experience with us!
An evening to celebrate that legacy and experience O Rappa in new arrangements, with all the strength and emotion of a great orchestra!
