Fio de AFETO tells the story of Irene from the village of Gavião, who helped combat the pandemic by making masks

Lenti, with the participation of Zezé Mota and Heloisa Buarque de Hollanda, will be screened
Free next Tuesday, the 28th, at the Vale Maranhão Cultural Center, in São
Luis. The film reveals the story of eight women who found solutions to overcome
the social and economic challenges caused by the pandemic, through the preparation of
fabric masks. Among them is Irene, from the village of Gavião, in the municipality
Maranhão and Amarante. These artisans are participants in the Máscara Mais project
Income, the result of the partnership between Rede Asta and the Vale Foundation, which supported 2 thousand
seamstresses across the country.
