FILE São Luís 2017 presents, for the first time in the Northeast, a clipping of the International Electronic Language Festival , bringing virtual reality works that use 3D glasses, interactive and non-interactive installations, games and animations, performed by 42 artists from countries like Brazil, Germany, Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Slovakia, Spain, United States, Greece, Netherlands, England, Mexico, Portugal, Serbia and Switzerland.

FILE dialogues with the contemporary relationship between art and new technologies. Art has always been the result of applying techniques in the development of poetics. Digital technologies are being used by artists all over the world in the creation of experiences and visualities, FILE proposes to bring to Brazil and identify among Brazilian artists what has been created in this field.

For 18 years, FILE has been promoting exhibitions, workshops and meetings with the aim of fostering the debate on the interrelation between art and technology. With annual events in São Paulo, exhibitions in Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, Curitiba and Porto Alegre, as well as participation in international events, the festival is the largest electronic art event in Latin America.

In this edition in São Luís, the public has the opportunity to experience different experiences of our world or the fictional worlds of virtual reality. Part of the works makes use of 3D glasses. In addition to virtual reality experiences, with and without the 3D eyewear, the dialogue between the physical world and the digital world is possible through the interaction of the visitor through the word and the body.
