From August 16, 2022 to February 18, 2023, the Vale Maranhão Cultural Center exhibited Zimar.
The exhibition presented to the public the works of the artisan from the city of Matinha, who uses everyday objects to make cazumba faces, enchanting by his creativity and imagination. There were 65 grimaces made of helmets, PVC pipes, motorcycle fenders, aluminum pans and other various materials.
The exhibition also included an unpublished documentary directed by filmmaker Beto Matuck, which features Zimar making grimaces, while telling about his history, inspirations, and addresses profound issues such as the relationship between life and death.
