Brazil that deserves Brazil was on display at the CCVM inaugurating the year Pure Beauty, dedicated to celebrating the greatness of blacks in Brazilian culture.
The 170 photographs presented bear the refined and delicate gaze of Walter Firmo, one of the greatest photographers in Brazil, recognized nationally and internationally. His work was taken to many countries, showing an extraordinary Brazil.
His photographic career began in photojournalism, when he joined the newspaper Última Hora as a boy. Then came Jornal do Brasil, the magazines Realidade, Manchete, Isto É, among others. In the 90s he started working as a freelancer, dedicating more time to his authorial work. A career spanning more than 60 years.
