The exhibition Ancer exhibited at the Vale Maranhão Cultural Center works by the Maranhão artist Claudio Costa divided into three nuclei – Bestiário, Arcabouço and Nódoa.
Using predominantly the dyeing technique, Claudio gathered materials and prints in the cities where he visited, on a long journey through the north of Maranhão.
Cláudio Costa was born in São Luís, in 1963. He is the son, grandson and great-great-grandson of Vianenses and has a strong relationship with the city. She lived in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Brasília in the 80s. His first solo exhibition entitled Papers of Paper took place in 1987. He won several awards at the May Collective, held in São Luís, between the years 94 and 95. He participated in three editions of the São Luís Art Salon, and won the Installation (1996) and Featured (2006/2007/2008) awards. In the early 2000s, he began his geopoetic routes through the north of Maranhão, in search of a deeper experience of landscapes, a project awarded by Funarte (Ministry of Culture) in 2008 and 2009.
