Bumba Meu Boi Brillo do São Francisco: São João Continues at the CCVM

June is over, but at the CCVM the São João climate remains firm and strong. The Open Patio program welcomes São Francisco’s Bumba Meu Boi Brillo with all the joy of the June festivities.

Created 27 years ago by Seu Ataíde Câmara, the group is one of the greatest representatives of Sotaque da Baixada. The game began with Ataíde’s family in São Luís and mixes the oxen tradition with elements such as Cazumbas, Rats, Indias and Cowboys.

With over 60 players, São Francisco’s Bumba Meu Boi Brillo promises an energetic performance that will make visitors to the Open Courtyard feel as if the June festivities had never gone away.
