As part of the indigenous April programs, CCVM presents the official program for the Guaraci Cinema festival

14 to 17 April 2026 to 19:00

Continuing the extensive Indigenous April program, the CCVM presents Cine Guaraci, an indigenous film festival that will take place from April 14 to 17

Divided over four days, the film festival program addresses three aspects of indigenous daily life: childhood in villages; the role of women as leaders and guardians of culture; and memory as a weapon in the collective struggle for territory.
The curatorship was born through a partnership between the Vale Maranhão Cultural Center and the Museu da Pessoa (São Paulo). The selected films present the vision of indigenous filmmakers who assume the audiovisual narrative as a tool for self-representation and resistance.
