Art 120". video art exhibition - REGISTRATION CLOSED

18 February to 11 March 2020

REGISTRATION CLOSED. The objective of the creator of the Mostra, Jerry Quadros, is to encourage the making of videos as an artistic expression. Submissions extended for Art 120. Videoart Exhibition , project selected by the public notice Pátio Aberto, which CCVM receives in March. Filmmakers from all over Brazil may register until March 11, 2020. Productions must have the maximum duration of 120 seconds (120”) and the theme is free. 35 videos will be selected, which will be shown in four days of programming. For the creator of the project, the technician in cinema from IEMA, Jerry Quadros, there is a lack of video art exhibitions and experimental videos in Maranhão's audiovisual scene, which encouraged him to enter the project in the PÁTIO ABERTO public notice. “I have a huge appreciation for contemporary art and I'm a audiovisual lover, so I decided to create an event that would work as an exhibition of experimental videos and video art, which would not only open a market for the production of short videos, but which would give the public from Maranhão new perspectives on art.” The three best productions in the categories: best video art/experimental video from Maranhão; best video art/experimental video for the public and best video art/experimental video will receive trophies. Interested parties must submit their video by March 11th. Here's a link for submissions and submission of videos: CCVM_Inscriptions Art 120"_VideoArt Show
